Our Richmond dentists at Saba Road Dental Center use porcelain veneers as an effective, non-invasive way of improving the appearance of your teeth.
Porcelain Veneers to Restore Your Smile
Veneers are thin shells of tooth-coloured porcelain that are bonded to the fronts of the teeth to mask discolouration and brighten teeth, improving the overall look of your smile.
How Veneers Work
Veneers are permanently bonded to the tooth, giving you a natural and aesthetically pleasing smile.
Veneers mask stains that cannot be removed with teeth whitening, and can help give teeth a more even look.
Veneers are highly resistant to staining from coffee, tea, or even cigarette smoking. And, there is very little risk of damage to the natural teeth because veneers are very thin.
The veneer procedure is a relatively easy way to improve the appearance of your teeth, and generally requires two dental appointments.
During the first visit, the teeth are lightly buffed to allow for the small added thickness of the veneer. Then a mold is taken of the teeth and sent to the laboratory so your veneers can be created.
Your second visit will take place once the veneers are ready. During this appointment, your dentist will place your custom veneer on the tooth surface and bond it to your natural tooth.
