Traditional Metal Braces
Dentists and orthodontists have been using metal braces to straighten teeth for decades. Over time however, advances in orthodontics have resulted in braces that are more comfortable, easier to care for, and lower-profile than ever before.
How Braces Work
A special dental bonding cement is used to adhere braces to the teeth which allows a system of brackets and wires to apply continuous pressure to the teeth. Over time, this pressure causes the teeth to gradually shift into straighter positions predetermined by the dentist.
While the pressure is applied and the teeth are moving, the supporting bone alters shape to accommodate the new positions of the teeth.

Post Treatment Maintenance
