Save & Protect a Sick or Dying Tooth
At Saba Road Dental Center, we offer root canal therapy to save a tooth that would otherwise die and need to be extracted, and to ease pain and other symptoms caused by an infected tooth root.
Root Canal Procedure
Within each tooth is a pulp chamber that contains the nerves and blood supply for the tooth.
If the pulp becomes infected due to injury or decay, it needs to be removed from the canals of each root to alleviate pain and prevent the infection from spreading.
After the infected pulp has been removed, the remaining chamber is filled and sealed with a rubber-based material.
To protect the tooth from any future damage it is then covered with a dental crown.
Signs & Symptoms

- A recurring abscess on the gums
- Swelling and/or tenderness
- Sensitivity to heat and cold
- Darkening of the tooth
